Is anybody know here any class in .NET that would help me to parse html in
C# ?
Or maybe you can even tell me how to do it?

Hi I have used some of this code from the PHP manual, but I am bloody hopeless with regular expressions. Was hoping somebody could offer a hand. The output of this will put the name of a form field beside name. I want to get the following but not sure how to modify the code below. 1. Field Name (to appear beside NAME:) 2. Field Type (to appear beside TYPE:)

I'm writing a site with mod_python which will have, among other things, forums. I want to allow users to use some HTML (<em>, <strong>, <p>, etc.) on the forums, but I don't want to allow bad elements and attributes (onclick, <script>, etc.). I would also like to do basic validation (no overlapping elements like <strong><em>foo</em></strong>, no missing end tags). I'm not asking anyone to write a script for me, but does anyone have general...

Hello, I am using HTML::Parser to extract text from html pages from http://bbc.co.uk/urdu/ However the encoding of the input text seems to change to some unknown encoding in the output. The program is given below. The HTML is in a string to keep the example simple. The same problem appears with HTML in a file.

Hello, I am trying to pinpoint an apparent bug in HTML::Parser. The encoding of the text seems to change incorrectly if the locale isn't set properly. However Parser.pm in the directory (/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi/HTML/) doesn't seem to contain the "real" parsing statements.

Hi I am trying to make lexical analysis of some simplified html code with flex tool. However that kind of work is new to me and I don't know where to start. I have searched a web but I didn't find anything useful. I found tools like LEXHTML.CXX library but I have no need for that. What I need is simple overview of working ideas of most usual html lexical analysators like ones inside IE or Gecko. Something like good

I have been trying to get a better understanding of simple HTML, but I am finding conflicting information is very common. Not only that, even in what seemed elementary and without any possibility of getting wrong it seems I am on very shaky ground . For example, pretty much every book and web course on html that I have read tells me I must include <html>, <head> and <body> tag pairs. I have always done that, and never questioned it. ...

Hi, I'm interested in finding out how erroneous comment syntax within an HTML document should be handled by a parser, according to SGML rules. At present, every browser handles comments in different ways, with only Mozilla and very recent builds of a few others browsers have anything at least closely resembling proper SGML comment handling. In particular, take this comment for example: <!-- Hello -- World -- ! -->

Loading text strings containing HTML code into an HTML parser in a Javascript/Jscript I would like to know, how one would go about loading a text string containing HTML code, so as to be able to use javascript or Jscript to work with the HTML code in the text string, in the same way that one works with XML code in a text string using the XML parser. If I was able to load the text string containing the HTML code succesfully, I would be...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
