Making an independant/autonomous .Net win application...

Is it possible to make, build and deploy a windows .Net application
which can be installed in any pc without installing .Net framework on
it??
In VB6 it's possible because you can deliver the .dll files with the
setup file togather(in the same folder). It's a pity if it's not
possible with VS .Net.

I wouldn't be so fast to give up on the idea. Salamander .NET Linker will
do something like what you're looking for, but for a price:

Did you read the link I posted? It has a link to Salamander, along with
another couple of products.

You can also deliver the .Net framework in the setup program for your
application.

Guys, I have a question regarding oracle. I have a stored procedure executing a number of statements including delete , select and lots of inserts in one big procedure and main transaction I have a stored procedure sp_log_action with a PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS TRANSACTION defined which is called after each statement in the main stored procedure(this writes the event to a table).

Hi guys - I have a weird condition here I'm trying to get resolution on, and unfortunately I'm not getting anywhere with my friends at Oracle. I'm hoping it's something simple, or at the very least it's a documented bug that I can simply reference and move on. The following code and session output (I think) documents a condition where a procedure marked for an automomous commit is commiting an INSERT over a database link that is outside...

Hi All, We have a windows from application written in C#, there we have used Browser COM and other basic libraries present in standard .NET/C# SDK. So the next part is to make this appliaction available to Unix and Mac platform. I have couple of questions here 1. What are the possibilities we have of doing some thing like this? 2. What are the technical chalenges we will face of doing this? 3. What are the direct indirect solution we...

Hi, knowing that "autonomous transaction" (Oracle concept of) are not yet implemented in PostgreSQL, has anyone found a work-around. I need to preserve database states from a potential rollback and then log them inside database tables. What about: 1) using memory structures to hold the info, then commit to the database just before exit (after the

Hi all, I have such a problem: I would like to create an application in Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition. This application will connect with data base created in MS Access 2003. This application will do some operations on tables in database: select, insert, update, delete. And my question is: What can I do to make this application independently work on other computers?? Saying independently work I mean that there will be no

I have an issue where the below operation works on a little-endian architecture but not on a big-endian architecture. I was under the impression that pointer arithmetic is architecture independant and bitwise operations are architecture dependant. The intention is to store two bytes, as chars, extracted from a short input parameter as: <code> void foo(short id_pair) { char *ptr = &id_pair;

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
