I have a function that call a stored procedure which performs an
insert command. now i want to refresh the dataset so that the newly
inserted data will be available to my datagrid
I have tried to call
DsStudentCourse1.Tables("SchYrSemCourseJoin").Clear()
SqlDataAdapter3.Fill(DsStudentCourse1)
However, the fill method causes a lot of time to process.

I am using the Enterprise library and did an executedataset to retrieve
results into a dataset. I noticed that the result went into the second
table in the table collection of the dataset instead of the first table.
ds.Tables.Rows.count = 0 <--- why?
while
ds.Tables.Rows.count had the number of rows expected.
Is there a reason for this behaviour?

I have a dataset that calls a stored procedure within our system.
The stored procedure saves each table into the dataset.
I want now to display each table one after the other, all in the same
datagrid.
I've tried: this.grdResults.DataSource = results.DefaultViewManager;
But that doesnt work.

If inside a stored procedure, there a SELECT statement to return a recordset
and another SELECT to set the value of an output parameter (as in SELECT
@OutValue = Name FROM table WHERE pkid=5), would 2 execute statements be
needed to return the OUTPUT parameter?
Like this?
adocmd.CommandTimeout = 120
adocmd.ActiveConnection = conn

Hi all,
I'm sorry I'm reposting this but the original was urgent and I do need
closure on this.
I'm calling a stored proc which does 4 "selects" and then I populate a
dataset looping through the dr using a dr.NextResult() but the stored proc
may not return any results for one or more Select stetments. When this
happens, a table is not returned so the dataset.Fill() does not populate
conatin 4 tables which then each bind to a grid -...

Folks,
For designing WinApps, I do prefer to have the controls dragged and dropped
into the screen, mainly for datagridview controls. For that end, I normally
use the DataSet designer but reading the dataset information from my
tables/views/stored procedures. Now I have a case in which I want to use the
designer, but with a procedure returning multiple resultsets.
I found a lot of articles on the internet, but they say everything but...

I have a stored procedure that takes a number of inputs, does a bulk
insert, and then outputs a recordset. When I run the stored procedure in
Server Management Studio I also get a return value from the stored
procedure which is an INT.
I want to access this return value on my ASP/VBScript page, but do not
know how to access it.
Here is my code so far:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
