I'm trying to override the backgroundimage to the tabcontrol but it just
doesn't seem to want to do it, can someone please help me and tell me what
I'm doing wrong?

It appears to me that if I change the Control's client size the controls
size does not change to agree with the new size.
Does it work like the VB6 ScaleWidth and ScaleHeight?
That is after I change the Clientsize does the display stay the same but the
number of units required to reference a given point changes?
Anyway, it appears to me that If I want to change to size of the control so
that the client size is some value, I need to...

Hi all,
I have a CheckedListBox on one pane of a TabControl on a form. I find that
whenever the user clicks a different tab then comes back, any checks that
were in the list have disappeared.
After a bit of experimenting I have discovered that the problem only occurs
when the CheckedListBox is using a dataset table as the source. If I
manually add items to it's collection using the properties window, it works
fine. If I bind it to a...

Can anyone explain why when i set the .ClientSize of a form, and then check
the .ClientSize when the resize event fires, it is slightly off, generally
20(varys) pixels in the height but not always. I have tried many things to
try to get the clientsize to set properly such as setting autoscale to false
among other things, but the client size will just not set properly. If I
check the client size immediatly after i set it it is correct but...

We have form that is used as the base class of all of our forms, let's
call it BaseApplicationForm. We have another form, say
ChildApplicationForm that inherits from BaseApplicationForm.
The child form implements an event handler for the Resize event.
Inside BaseApplicationForm.InitializeComponent, this.ClientSize is set
to a value. On most of our developers' machines, this.ClientSize =
....; does NOT fire the Resize event, which makes...

I want my custom UserControl to size and resize with its parent, a Form. But
when I use the code
Size=Parent.ClientSize;
in the constructor of myUserControl, Parent is null and the operation fails.
What is the proper place to put this code?

I have a few hundred forms in my application. All are based on a custom base form class.
I decided that I wanted to globally change the look and feel of many of the controls in my application - including the tab control. I did this by writing a component that I attached to the form. The component has a "Start" function which takes the form as a paramater. This cycles through all the controls on the form, changes some of the properties...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
