Hi,
I have a standalone XML file (with the appropriate xml document header)
that works fine when I load it using XmlDocument. I can have child elements
like this without problems:
<SomeChildElement type="c" href="There.aspx?id=5" />
But as soon as I change it to something like this:
<SomeChildElement type="c" href="There.aspx?id=5&t=m" />

I have created a simple Client-side SOAP Extension for a webclass that I
have. When I apply the extension attribute to the the calling function in the
proxy class I get an error 'Value cannot be null'. When the extension
attribute is not applied it runs fine. The wierd thing is that it does not
appear to be an error within the SOAP extension because I break-pointed it
and when the proxy function gets called the SOAP extension runs fine....

I've been setting up a schema with the XML Designer in VS .NET 2003.
The designer lets me set up a lot of things including a complex type that
contains an unnamed complex type called modified.
When I try to preview the dataset, I get an error described as "The same
table (modified) cannot be the child table in two nested relations.
I've run into this before with a different complex type, and I've changed
the name of the instance of...

Hi,
I have a web.config file that contains <httpHandlers> section that causes
"cannot load file..." error. If I delete this section, it is OK. Why did
vb.net add this section? It does not add this section now. Thank you.
<!-- PREVENT SOURCE CODE DOWNLOAD

As well as entering
a httphandler for a file type, you must also associate that file

Hi,
I'm getting some very strange problems with some C# code. We're running
an ASP.NET application on a local server in a DMZ. If I access it using
the internal address, the application works fine, every time. But, if I
access on it's public IP, from my office workstation, from home, over
the VPN, a test machine on ADSL, or whatever else you please, it fails.
But only about 60% of the time.
I have tried everything to pin this down....

Hi all,
I've got this terrible problem.
I'm deploying 2 different .NET application (Framework .NET 1.1) that
both use remoting technology, but one is a HREF no-touch-deploy smart
client and the other one is a .NET control deploy by a tag object.
All assemblies are signed with a Strong Name.
For the kind of deploy (by IE) and the use of remoting technology I

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
