ListBox appearing empty

Hi.
I've built a small window, with some buttons and labels, and one listbox.
During design time, I put five lines in the listbox and launch the
program: the listbox appears empty! I can select the first five lines,
but they become blue (=selected) without any text.
I tried to feel the listbox during runtime, but I got the same result.
If I catch listbox1.Select edItem.ToString () when one of the 5 lines is
correctly selected (but always appears empty), I get the text I've put
in it!
Could someone explain this strange behaviour?

Win XP Home + C#Builder

Thank you

Hi,

I'm betting you have McAffe VirusScan installed.
Either patch the virus program or disable buffer overflow protection.

Is there any particular reason why a requiredfieldvalidator cant validate a listbox? I have bound the two together but the validator always returns false on isvalid and so does the Page, no matter if the user selects an item in the listbox or not.

I have read the following article http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/073101-1.shtml. I added the empty selection as the first option. When I click submit without choosing anything it does not return my empty string but the 2nd value in listbox. When the page reloads it selects the 2nd option by default even thou my Empty field is in the list. What do I have to do to get the empty field and databound data to act as one?

Hello everyone, I know this question has been asked many times in the forums, and after spending a few days reading, I am still confused as to the answer. I have a ListBox (lstBox), SqlConnection (sqlConnection), SqlDataAdapter (daLookupData), SqlDataAdapter (daData), DataSet (dsLookupData), and DataSet (dsData), all created via the IDE during design-time. Here is the design of my simple tables: (An example since I can't post my...

Hello Everyone, I am having problems with a listbox control. I have a page with a couple of labels and drop-down lists at the top, and then below there is a table with two columns, the first column contains a listbox and the second column contains some buttons. I am trying to display it such that if the listbox is empty it will be at least 100px wide, but if there is content in the box I want it to expand dynamically such that if the...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
