Hi,
I've got a simple console app that just reads an XML file into a DataSet
then prints out a description of each table in the DataSet, including
column names and row values for each column. I'm getting some strange
results depending the input XML file I use. I was wondering if somebody
could help me understand what is going on or point me to a good reference.
The code for my program looks like this:

Hi
I am serializing a dataset using a binary formatter as follows:
IFormatter formater = new BinaryFormatter();
formatter.Serialize(stream, ds); // ds=DataSet, stream=MemoryStream
....
DataSet ds2 = (DataSet)formatter2.Deserialize(stream2);
For the size of my DataSet, its taking 0.8 seconds to serialize and 2.3
seconds to deserialize.

I have a webservice that is returning a dataset. In dataset there is a table
with 4 columns. (LDate, LTime, LDepth and ServiceNumber)
I then try to read only 2 of the columns into array (double
valuesArray;) but i cant get it to work. It is LDepth and ServiceNumber.
Both columns has numbers with decimals. As a newbee i am struggling with
arrays :-)
Best regards
Trond

Hi,
I've been going at this for a few days and can't see the problem. Does
anyone see a problem with this code?
I have a call to a function that returns a dataset and when I assign
values to session variables, the values are the actual column names and
not the database value. I've tried using ordinal values and get the same
results.

Hi!
How do I explore in code, which properties (columns) are in a datatable? I
need to run some code for each column.
I guess the answer is reflection somehow, but I dont know where to start.
If someone could point me to a relevant example, I would be most grateful.

I want to list all of the items in a dataset in a textbox. The dataset
has multiple tables. When I try to use the code below, even though I
dim myState as the DataTable("state"). It still looks for othe rows in
the dataset.
Dim myState As DataTable = myDataSet.Tables("state")
Dim myTax As DataTable = myDataSet.Tables("Tax")
Dim row As DataRow
Dim column As DataColumn

Is there a way, in the debugger, to look at the contents of a dataset? I
tried drilling down into my dataset and it's like exploring the registry!
Anyway, I didn't find anything useful. The code I use to fill the dataset
is below. The dataset fills OK and is usable. I just want to know how it
names things, e.g., if there are multiple instances of a column of the same
name, etc. Right now it can't find Person.Person_ID, although that is...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
