ListView focus

Dear all,
When adding a row in a listview, I want to do some thing like this:
1. Make sure this new item will be all visible
2. Set the last item as selected item
3. Make it as focus and hightlight as it was selected (by left-click to this
item on the listview)
saple code:
m_ctrlRecordLis t.EnsureVisible (m_ctrlRecordLi st.Items.Count-1);
m_ctrlRecordLis t.Items[m_ctrlRecordLis t.Items.Count-1].Focused = true;
m_ctrlRecordLis t.Items[m_ctrlRecordLis t.Items.Count-1].Selected = true;
m_ctrlRecordLis t.Focus();

But it wasn't focused and not highlight as selected.

Thank you alot,
Giang.

I've tried working with the SelectedIndices and Items.Selected attributes to get the problem to go away, but not having any luck. Questions I have are: 1) How do you move (using code) the focus Rectangle when your Selected Index changes ? 2) If there are no selected rows, can that focus rectangle be removed? 3) What other quirks exist in this simple example I might need to code for ?

I have a text box select items in a listview as text is being typed into the text box. I get the select bar to move correctly in the Listview control. If the user presses the down or up key in the text box, I want to move to the selected item in the listview box. The down or up arrow does set focus to the listview box and the selected item switches from the grey of being unfocused to the blue of focus. So far, so good.

Hi, I'm having a problem working with a listview in an application I'm writing. Currently, whenever the selectedindex changed event fires, it loads up a htmledit control, and other labels on the form, with the current information associated with the listview item. Whenever I click on each item, it works fine, but it seems that whenever I use the up/down arrows(important) to scroll through the list, it loses focus, and goes to the...

I have a form with a listview control and a textbox. When I change focus from the listview to the textbox, the highlighted item on the listview loses the highlight. That is not the behavior I need. I am using VB2008 express. I see that the behavior of a similar program in VB6 is the same. When the controls are a listbox and a textbox, the highlighted item remains highlighted when changing focus to the textbox. So I might guess that...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
