Hi,
I have a dictionairy containing DateTime objects as keys and integers as
values. What would be the easiest way to create a simple plot of these,
with a number axis versus a time axis? What library is the most
suitable for this? 'plot' on parnassus yields 18 hits, but since I have
zero experience, I don't know where to start. What makes it difficult
is that I have a time axis instead of a simple integer x-axis. Gnuplot
doesn't seem...

I need to add a trend line to a scatter plot (not automatically supported by
the charting package) but I don't know how to calculate it. Is there any
formulas around for calculating what the trend line should look like?

I am trying to make some kind of a data logger with say 16 channels. So far I
have managed to get the data from the serial port and plot it on a
chart.(using MSChart)I just store the data of each channel in its array(10
samples for each channel) and display it on an X-y chart. But now,I would like
to plot the data with respect to the time of the day,so that at the end of
the day,one can get an idea of the complete activity on the channel...

Can anyone give any suggestions on how to make a logarithmic (base 10)
x and y axis (loglog) plot in matplotlib? The scatter function doesn't
seem to have any log functionality built into it.
Thanks,
Derek Basch
P.S. I suck at math so feel free to make me feel stupid if it is really
easy to do :).

Hi,
I want to plot a graph (Audiogram) for frequency (X axis) against
intensity (Y axis). Data for which will be sourced from an existing
table following frequency fields. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/

250Right, 500Right, 1000Right, 2000Right, 4000Right and 250Left,
500Left, 1000Left, 2000Left, 4000Left. Data under these fields will be

I'm trying to use a scatter chart to plot level reading for a pump
station level sensor.
The sensor takes a reading every 4 seconds, and there are 23,000
reading per chart
There appears to be a limit of 4000*4000 data points in MS Chart so I
have had a play with the Office 10 activX chart control, but cant get
that to plot the data at all. It always try to summaries the data for
some reason fathomable only to Bill Gates! Mind you, the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
