Hello,
I have an MS Access 2003 Project form in which I need to set the value
of a textbox named 'TestGrade' to the value present after the update
of a combo box currently named 'Combo6'. The data source for the
project is a SQL Server 2000 database.
I have the following code written for the 'After Update' event of
'Combo6'
Private Sub Combo6_AfterUpdate()

Hi, I have a window based program. One of the form has several textboxes and
a datagrid. The textboxes are bind to the same dataset table as the datagrid
and the text changes to reflect different row selected in the datagrid.
I want to save the changes that user make in the textboxes when they select
a different row in the datagrid. I tried capturing the textbox.text at
datagrid's CurrentCellChanged event but by then the textbox.text...

Hopefully this is the correct group for this message. My
previous post to (I assume) a non-.net group was not
welcomed.
I have a form with 7 text boxes that are all bound to
fields of a dataset. The form also contains a datagrid
also bound to the same dataset.
I have a button on the form to update the data to the
source.

My form has text and combo controls bound to a dataset (no grid).
I know that calling .endCurrentEdit() flushes all changes made to bound text
boxes to the underlying dataset. But I'd like to validate the row before
saving to the dataset.
I can check the 'Proposed' values by the following:
Dim dr As DataRow = CType(BindingManager1.Current, DataRowView).Row
x = dr("LastName", DataRowVersion.Proposed)

Binding Manager & dataset - won't add record
I've got an untyped dataset with controls bound through code. The user
can select a question number from a bound combobox, and the question
number and question text are displayed in bound textboxes. This part
works fine.
When I go to add a new record, the textboxes clear as they should. I
enter a new question number and tab to the textbox for the question
text. At this point, the text for the...

I can get the dropdownlist into the datagrid, and I can populate it, but I
can't read it.
Anybody have a working example of a dropdownlist in an editable grid?
Thanks.

Not sure why this is an issue, but apparently when you paste a string into a
textbox that is bound to a dataset/datasource, it does not save into the
dataset. I've tried several things including moving the
BindingContext.Position but I haven't found an easy way short of handling
updating the dataset manually.
Anyone have any experience with this and how to get around it?

I have a usercontrol with a label, a textbox, a treeview, a grid and a
couple of checkboxes.
The usercontrol is hosted on a form together with a cancel and a
accept button. This form is used to search records in a database.
On several forms in my application I show (modal) this form to search
records. Everytime I show the form I want the focus to be on the
textbox on the usercontrol.
This works the first time I display the form. But...

I have a Windows form that displays a database table in a DataGrid. When you
click on a row, the row's values get copied to bound TextBoxes below, and
when the "Save" button is clicked the database is updated (as is the DataGrid
row) with changed values in the TextBoxes. Here are some observations:
1) When changes are typed into a text box and "Save" is clicked, the changes
are reflected in the DataSet.Tables().Rows().ItemArray value, but...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
