2 Datagrids and a Filter

Hi

Have Master/Detail relationship within 2 datagrids.

Binding works fine, when a user selects a row in the Master grid it updates
the display in the detail grid, awesome........ ...but..

I also have a combobox on the form, when a user selects a value it filters
the Master grid, my problem is, if there are no rows displayed in the Master
it still shows records in the Details Grid of the last selected row.

I have tried using the same filter on the DefaultView of the Detail Grid but
still no success.

Any help would be great!

I have a DataSet with two tables and two datagrids with a Parent/Child Relationship. While that works fine, setting a Rowfilter to the Parent on the parent table defaultview does not. If I use a DataView, the parent row is filtered correctly, but of course there is now no relationship between the DV and the child table. Is it possible to set a runtime filter on a datagrid without using a DataView? If not, is it possible to create a...

I need to export multiple datagrids (where we have a drill-through web application) into an Excel workbook. For instance, when you click on the first datagrid, you get a subset of the sql table. Subsequent clicks on those items in the table further filter the request, until you go from a business area down to a single SKU. Thus far, I have gotten it to work, but there have been size issues (I guess, as smaller files seem to do okay),...

I have a placeholder and depending on a user input(a drop downlist) when the user clicks a button I dynamically create a number of datagrids and fill them with data from a database. But the problem is that on a postback I lose all the datagrids and their data. I have looked at numerous pages on the net regarding this issue. Many say you have to rebuild build the controls on postback. How am I meant to do this in my situation as I don't...

Hi. When testing my app I believe I found a bug in datagrids (or is it just me). Here is the scenario: Grid is attatched to a dataview. Dataview has a filter. I enter a new record within the datagrid and when I click on the fixed column (the grey bar on the left with an arrow pointing right when record is

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
