Impersonate from win2000 to winXP

how can i impersonate from win2000 to WinXP?

doesn't say what to do on win2000!!!)
any ideas?
workarounds?
Thanx!
// This sample demonstrates the use of the WindowsIdentity class to
impersonate a user.
// IMPORTANT NOTES:
// This sample can be run only on Windows XP. The default Windows 2000
security policy
// prevents this sample from executing properly, and changing the policy to
allow
// proper execution presents a security risk.

Grei:

Are you asking how to perform impersonation on Windows 2000 with the
same code?

Hi All, I just built a database in Access XP/Win XP and am having an issue with the enter key behavior when the database is run under Windows 2000. If you use the enter key to tab through the fields on the forms you eventually get to the 'close' button. Under WinXP pressing enter again once the button has focus will cause Access to initiate the code on the On Click event. Under Win 2000 the focus moves to the top field on the form.

Hi! I've made a Web Service using C# that is using impersonation. The WS is working fine on WinXP and Win2003Server, but I'm having problem getting it to work on Win2000. The problem is that in order to use LogonUser on Win2000, you have to have the SE_TCB_NAME privilege. Therefore I'm using the SSPLogonUser (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q180/5/48.asp&NoWebContent=1)

I completed a VB.NET application and it runs fine on WinXP. I wanted to run it on Win2000 and it is not working. Is it not supposed to work on Win2000 too? (I installed .NET framework distributable on the Win2000 machine). Any suggestion much appreciated. Thanks, -- Strah @ Langan

Hi All, Urgent SOS!!! I developed my project using pyton 2.5 under winXP and had an issue in loading my dll if the target user is using Win2000. Initially, I thought it was caused by the dlls I created were not compatible with Win2k. Then, I wrote a simple MFC program to load the dlls. It works fine for MFC but not for ctypes(python 2.5). Can someone please help? Thanks...... Best regards, Vincent....

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
