Changeing supported runtime for 2005 Beta

How you you change the supported runtimes for projects with 2005 Beta?
I've tried:
1. select project in solution explorer.
2. project > properties

Now I get a view of a new folder with this information:
Application
Reference Paths
Build Events
Build
Debug
Resources
Settings

In the 2005 Doc's (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/library/zbe83syc.aspx) , the
instructions tell me to select "Supported Runtimes" but there is not such
thing in my list. I've looked through all the properties tabs and I cannot
find anything that will allow me to change the supported runtimes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need this for a project at school.

This option is only available in VS2003. The beta can only target the beta
v2.0 framework.

Hi How do you specfiy the version of the .net runtime libraries loaded for a ..net controls hosted in Internet Explorer 6? I have a control that's designed to work with .NET 1.1, but after installing the VS.NET 2005 beta the web browser embedded control is now running in the .NET 2.0 beta runtime environment, and crashing. Is it possible to have different IE hosted controls running side by side in different versions of the .NET...

I need to allow the user to design the report format at runtime. I'm studying with what tools that I can do that. The users need to design the report/document by themselves because they are in different cities. They may have different names for the same report/document. And the format may need to be changed over time. Now I have the following options. - Crystal Report - Active Report

I've had no success in trying to dynamically set images at runtime in a Crystal Reports 9 report using C# 2005 Beta. I've been doing research along these lines & all the posts I've read say this can't be done. I was wondering if I've missed anything or if Crystal Reports 10 has added this feature? I downloaded a sample VB6 project (cr9_vb_rdc_loadpic.exe) from

I've been using Visual Studio 2005 Beta 1 for the last few weeks, and I now want to try using SQL Server 2005 Beta with it. I've been to the Microsoft URL http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/sql/ which allows you to download a product called SQL Server Express (April CTP). It also specifies that you must uninstall all Express software and the .NET framework 2.0 from your machine before downloading. Does this mean uninstalling the VS...

Hi I installed .NET 2005 express edition, and am about to unnistall it again because it can't seem to be able to even insert a resource file into a project. Can anyone tell me is this right? Should it be able to? I know it's express edition, and therefore limited functionality, but surely resources are quite fundamental? Also, once it's downloaded, is there any way of getting access to the fully downloaded file incase you want to...

I'm just experimenting around with the VisualC++ 2005 Express Edition Beta and found some strange behavior for which I can't seem to find a workaround. What I've done is set up two static library projects for Lua 5.0.2 and LuaBind beta-6, compiling both with no CLR support and configured to use the Multithreaded DLL runtime. Then I created a new console application which makes use of these two static libraries (of course, also set to MT...

I have no idea what is going on... I took an add-in for Office 2007 that I started in VS 2003, and imported the whole thing into VS 2005. Then I added some custom .Net components from Developer Express (devexpress.com) to the project. I have a rather long list of references now: Accessibility, a bunch of DevExpress components, Extensibility, Microsoft.Office.Core, Microsoft.Interop.* (all ribbon app ones), stdole, System, System.Drawing,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
