Hello all,
Pardon my ignorance here. I would like to talk to someone that has
had success in calling ddls in Windows NT/2000/XP.
I am wondering where to dload any of these packages? Google searches
keep turning up articles similar to this.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

I have a project with 2 DLLs, one of which is supposed to
call the other, but I can't seem to get it to work. I am
doing the following:
1) The 2 DLL projects are set up as VB class projects and
their DLLs are compiled (build command).
2) The 2nd DLL is referenced from the first one.
3) The first DLL has the following line:
"Public oDB As New DBConnection.SQLConnect"
to initialize it and the autofill feature for the object

I am having trouble using Platform Invoke to call C++ DLLs
from C# windows applications. The DLLs seem to load, but I
get run-time errors to the effect that the named entry
points cannot be found. The DLLs are compiled in MS Visual
C++ Version 6 and the C# applications are written in MS VS
C#.NET 2003. I am using the specifier _declspec(dllexport)
for a class in the DLL and I am using DllImport(...) for
each method imported into the C#...

hi,
I am having a little problem passing in reference of my calling class (in my
..exe)into a DLL. Both programs are C# and what I am trying to do is pass a
reference to my one class into a DLL function. When I try and compile the DLL
I get "The type or namespace name "MyForm" could not be found.
I think I have to reference the class but since the DLL needs to be built
before the EXE it looks like I have a chicken and egg type problem....

Hello ,
i'm calling a webservice generated with oracle webservice java tools.
I'm not able to add a web reference to a .net client the usual way with
visual studio 2005.
I was therefore provided with a set of Dll that implement the proxy needed
to consume this web service.
I'm now wrapping these dlls in a .Net webservice that can be consumed with
Visual studio the familliar way.

I need to be able to call the same API function from VB, which will
reside in different DLLs. While all of the functions have the same
signature and name, DLL file names are not known at compile time.
Therefore, my assumption that using Declare statement or DllImport
attribute is NOT an option in such a case.
I can use LoadLibrary() and GetProcAddress() from Kernel32 to get the
addreses, but is there a way to actually call an API method...

I always do not like the idea of having one executable calling another
executable since I can have more control by calling interfaces exposed
from a DLL. In my situation, I need to watch for a certain event and
exe can only give me a return code. Any pros using an exe?
