Hi
I would to display a Cursors.WaitCursor on a ListView control, so I tried
listView.Cursor = Cursors.WaitCursor
but it doesn't work at all, I see always the default cursor. The same thing happens if I set the WaitCursor in the properties window. The strange thing is that with other controls, like buttons or the treeview, it does work. The only control for which I can't change the cursor is the ListView: it does not work even if I set...

Hi all,
When I try to use the GetItemAt (e.X, e.Y) method in a ListView MouseDown()
event, it only works some of the time. If I right-click on an open area of
the ListView, I get null back as expected. If I right-click on a
ListViewItem, I get that ListViewItem back. But then... if I right-click on
an open area of the ListView again I get the last ListViewItem I clicked on
back... I'm sure there's a way around this. GetItemAt...

Greetings,
I don't deal too much with the visual side of the framework, so I may be
simply doing something quite stupid - but if I am I can't figure it out for
the life of me.
On my machine (a Dell Inspiron 8200, gForce4 440, 1 gig Ram, etc.) I simply
fire up Visual Studio, create a Windows Form, drag a ListView onto the form,
create two columns in the listview and then compile and run. When I do a
mouse-over the "splitters" or the...

I've tried working with the SelectedIndices and Items.Selected
attributes to get the problem to go away, but not having any luck.
Questions I have are:
1) How do you move (using code) the focus Rectangle when your Selected
Index changes ?
2) If there are no selected rows, can that focus rectangle be removed?
3) What other quirks exist in this simple example I might need to code
for ?

I have a ListView with MultiSelect=True, how can I know witch Item has been
clicked, without looping on each Item?
I need to process only the last clicked Item, but the "Click" event doesn't
tell me anithing about the clicked Item.
I don't want to use the checks (in this case I would trap the ItemChecked
event)
Thanks

I'm using this class to work around the ListView.Cursor bug in .NET
1.0/1.1. It fixes the bug as long as the user mouses around the
client area of the listview but if the listview is in detail view and
the user mouses over the header, the default cursor is displayed
regardless of the Cursor property setting.
Public Class MyListView
Inherits ListView
Const WM_SETCURSOR = &H20
Public Declare Function SetCursor Lib "user32" Alias...

I hope this isn't too stupid of a question but I'm looking for a way to
change an item in a listview control when the mouse moves over it. I'd like
to change its color and underline it for a probable internet link. Is there
a way to do that? I've looked through the help and can't find anything that,
well, helps. Perhaps I'm using the wrong control.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi
I have a form in which there is a treeview alongside a listview. Now I
have certain conditions when the Listview control is disabled. When
this happens I would want the Cursor to be of type "NO" only when the
mouse is over the ListView. It should be default over the other
controls on the form.
I have tried many things but nothing seems to work. I am able to set
the Cursor to No when the Listview is disabled ...but the cursor does...

I'm trying to change the cursor that appears on a standard ListView when the cursor appears over an item. However I am getting a flickering effect as the mouse is changed to a finger cursor, and then back to what I asked it to be.
I'm trying to isolate this flicker/changing to the hand cursor but can't figure out where it's occuring or how to stop it. To replicate this...
1) Create a form with a ListView on it.
2) Add an image list and...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
