Setting NTFS permissions

Hi!

I'm trying to figure out how to add a user with full access to an NTFS
folder on a Windows 2003 Server using C# (web project). Does anyone have an
example of this? I want to keep existing permissions and just add one more
user to the list of allowed users.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Morten,

Here's a library for working with ACLs that may be helpful:

I am starting to think there is some kind of conspiracy :) but everywhere I try to locate some (working) code showing how to change NTFS partitions on a network share I end up at a dead end. I found tons of references to a tech note (below) but MS seems to have 'lost' it :) Any ideas? http://support.Microsoft.com/?id=818362 --

Apologies if this has been asked & answered (pls post a link if this is so) but I am tired of finding a close but not quite close enough solution. I am looking for a sample or explanation of how to use asp.net 2.0 to set NTFS folder/file permissions. Most of the solutions I have seen invoke a process that taps into WMI or some WSH script. I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
