How do I format certain DataRows of a Windows.Forms.D ataGrid?

Hi,

I would like to format certain DataRows in a Windows.Forms.D ataGrid.

I know how to do that for the columns, but I cannot find a way to assign a specific font, color etc. to a specific kind of DataRows. I have 4 different kinds identified by a type value and would like to show the Rows with different styles

For Example:

All Rows of type 1 should be in bold
All Rows of type 2 should be in italics and grey
All Rows of type 3 should be underlined with red background
and so on.

George Shepherd's Windows Forms FAQ contains an entry entitled:

How can I change the font used in a grid cell on a cell by cell or row
by row basis?

Check it out at:

Hi all, I'm getting a bug with the datagrid object. I've created one from scratch, bound it to a dataview with 2 int32 columns and formatted the output as currency. I've found that when you use the F2 key to enter edit mode and then hit TAB or ESCAPE without actually editing the value, dotnet crashes with a null reference error.

Hi, I'm looking for a nice way to format the cell of my datagrid according to some predefined 'rules'. I found a lot on the site of George shepherd, but it wasn't really what I was looking for: I found there: How can I change the font used in a Gridcell on a cell by cell or row by row basis. Wih this code I am able to change the Font/Background/... based on the position of the field (column and row). The problem is: it only changes...

I have written some code to manipulate data/records in a MASTER (order header) and DETAIL (order details) tables. What I have written is too extensive to post but essentially trying to: 1. Assign to a datarow (dr1) the first record of the MASTER table 2. Assign to another datarow (dr2) the second record of the MASTER table 3. If dr1.field1 = dr2.field1, then proceed, otherwise do stop 4. Assign to a third datarow (dr3) the first record...

Hello Everyone, I would like to format the Display Members of a combobox's datasource. Is there a way to apply a format without subclassing the original datasource? For example, given a list of decimal values, format them as currency values with a leading currency symbol and 2 decimal places. TIA Class Test

This is making me crazy! vb.net 2003 I have two datagrids, datasource is the same datatable. I need the first one to show only 2 columns, the second to show 99 columns. They also have to be in sync - if I resort one, the other must also resort. That's why I am not using dataviews. But this doesn't work. The second grid shows 99 columns, the first shows all 108. What gives? Please help?!?!

Hello: We wrote an entire application where we add our DataRows to our DataTables immediately. However, we have to shut off our constraints to do this. We would like to use detached DataRows to circumvent this. What do you normally do to track detached DataRows? Is there a way to retrieve them? or do I have to stored them in some temporary location? Thanks for any input!

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
