Error in Outlook using SmtpMail with BodyFormat = Unicode

Hi,

I tryed to send an email with the smtpmail class in the .net framework
and I got an error in Outlook.

Here is my code:

System.Web.Mail .MailMessage mail = new System.Web.Mail .MailMessage();

mail.From = "to**@toto. to";
mail.To = to**@toto.to;
mail.Subject = "subject";
mail.Body = "message";
mail.Priority = System.Web.Mail .MailPriority.N ormal;
mail.BodyFormat = System.Web.Mail .MailFormat.Tex t;
mail.BodyEncodi ng = System.Text.Enc oding.Unicode;

System.Web.Mail .SmtpMail.SmtpS erver = "smtpServerName ";
System.Web.Mail .SmtpMail.Send( mail);

Here is the Outlook error:

Can't open this item. Could not complete the operation. One or more
parameter values are not valid.

Microsoft has some infos there:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;198909

But this does not help me a lot !

Any idea ?

Hello all, First off, if there is a better place to post for an answer to this question, please feel free to point me there. I have some very strange behavior happening with my System.web.mail objects. I was able to run my application fine for roughly 1500 email messages. The next time I tried sending mail, it stopped working with the message: "

Hello group: I have reached the end of my rope with this error. I have pretty much tried every suggestion I've found thus far and I get this error no matter what I do. I did try using the CDOSYS test from Microsoft as a test for the smtpserver, and it'll send that way. Here's my existing code: Public Sub SendMail() Dim myMailMsg As New Mail.MailMessage()

I've built a small app that sends mail through our ISP's SMTP server but when I try to send through my local exchange server I get CDO error. Does webmail use SMTP or does it strictly rely on CDOmail. I don't want to use the Outlook reference because outlook prompts each time program access it and I have found a way to disable that. Can I use webmail with exchange? Thanks

Not sure where to post this. At runtime, we need to be able to make sure a user is running Outlook (at least 98 or higher) in order to send an email. So, if a condition is met, we need to start up outlook (if it's not running) and send an email from the logged on user's outlook account. How do we do this?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
