Excel 2003 Native Object Library (.net version ?)

Hello,

Is there a .net native assembly / object_library to communicate with
Excel 2003 ?

All articles I have read are all using the Microsoft Excel Object
Library which is a COM object, even from .NET !

It sounds to me strange that there would not be any over way to automate
Excel 2003 natively, as Excel 2003 already supports 'c# code behind', so
it would have normal it to be 'open' with .net development
environment...

Microsoft does not provide such an interface. See http://ManagedXLL.net/ for
an alternative using the native XLL interface.

VSTO is using COM / Office PIAs.

Hello We've developed a Web Form that uses Excel. We have installed Excel 2000 on Windows 2000. So, we're using Excel 9.0 object library. Now, we want to translate our application to a Windows 2003 Server. ¿Which Excel version should we install? We think that Excel 2000 could be perfect, and no changes to the code will be made.

I am having some trouble manipulating Excel files. Currently I am trying to create and then close an Excel file/application with the following code. It works fine, except it leaves an EXCEL application open, which I can see in the Task Manager. I have tried oExcel.Dispose(), but this generates an error. How can I correct this code so that the object is properly disposed of? Thanks! Public Sub CreateExcelFile(Optional ByVal sFileName As...

Hi all, When I try to add reference to Excel, I select my project's porperties from the Project menu, on the add reference dialog, tab named COM, there are Excel 11.0 and Excel 5.0 Object Libraries. If I select Excel 11.0 object library, after a few seconds reference shows itself on the references section of my project's properties window with and error on the path column : "the system cannot find the reference specified".

I have a question regarding a VB.NET 2003 application which was built on a Windows XP machine with Office 2002 installed. The software does some interfacing with Microsoft Excel. I now want to run this application on a Windows 2000 machine with Office 2003 installed. However, it is not functioning correctly. The application DOES work on a Windows XP machine running Office 2003. I am referencing the "Microsoft Excel 10.0 Object...

Hi all. It was everything all right while in my VBproj was a reference to Microsoft Excel 10.0 Object library added . I have migrated to MS Office 2003. So, I can add Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object library instead. But now I can't use any of Excel objects (Workbook, Worksheet and so on)... Only errors "... not defined". What's the matter? Should there some kind of another references be used?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
