INTRODUCTION
One of the most powerful aspects of .NET and Windows Forms is data
binding. Data binding is the process of associating user interface
(UI) elements with a data source to generate a visual representation
of data. Two types of data binding are available for Windows Forms:
Simple Data Binding and Complex Data Binding.
Simple data binding allows you to bind one data element to a control.
In many situations you want to display...

Here is an odd issue. I am trying to shed some light on why this is causing
a problem.
I have an ArrayList. I am binding it to a ListBox control with has its Sort
property set to True. If the ArrayList only has one element in it everything
works ok. But as soon as I have more than one element, I get the following
exception when the control loads up: "Cannot modify the Items collection
when the DataSource property is set.".
Anybody...

Hi .. I have an issue I have been beating my head against
the wall on for some time. I am trying to use late
binding for MS graph so that my end users don't have to
worry about having the right version of the MS Graph type
library. Up until now I have been walking them through
the process of setting the references to include their
version of MS Graph library.
My problem is that I can not seem to get the syntax
correct .. or perhaps...

Essentially, InsertAT is broken!
For the past couple of hours, I've been getting this "Parameter name:
'-2147483550' is not a valid value for 'index'." error.
Apparently, its caused by having manually inserted a row in the table
bound to the Combo box. The InsertAt Method of adding a row just does
not work.
Hope this helps anyone with this problem.

Hello,
I have 6 comboboxes, that I thought I could bind to the same datasource, and
have them display different 'selectedvalue's', but apparently I can't...
My code is as follows:
dim drv as datarowview = me.listbox1.selecteditem
dim dtbDL as datatable = _dataset1.Tables(0)
dim dtvDL as new dataview(dtbDL)
dtvDL.RowFilter = "STR_ONE" = 'Matching Text'"

Hello,
I have three DataTables linked hierarchically (parent-child-grandchild) and
bound to three data grids as follows:
dsConeSys = ConeSysDataSet.GetTallyDataSet(studyID, assessmentID);
bsTree.DataSource = dsConeSys;
bsTree.DataMember = "Tree";
dgvTree.DataSource = bsTree;

Hello,
I made a windows form with a combo box and 4 text boxes. All 5 objects should get their data from a data set which is populated
in the form load method. The combo box has item ids. When the users selects an item from the combo box I'd like the 4 text boxes to
get populated with the corresponding item information from the same dataset table row that the combo box is pulling it's info from.
Is there an easy way of doing this besides...

Hello all!
I found a solution to my original question, but there's still so much I don't understand about it, I thought I'd give this forum a try. At the very least, maybe it will help someone else who got stumped like I did.
It seems so simple... binding a DataGridView to a List<T>. These are the two general problems that I kept running into:
(1) When the data in the list updated, the data on the screen did not update.
(2) When I...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
