Hi,
I am currently working on a computer vision system. At the moment I'm adding
support for firewire cameras. Since there is only one firewire system on a
computer, I have writen a firewire manager class as Singleton.
User access to firewire camera objects should only be accessable via
refereces obtained from this manager class. I want to avoid the creation of
more than one camera object accessing the same physical camera.

I'm developing an application that uses a web service. The initial idea was
sending objects to the web service and storing during the execution in a
Hashtable, so I could get them back to the application via web methods.
Now I know that I can't store objects in a web service and I should
serialize it and opening it again. This might be a bit slow. Is there
another way to do this? I was thinking in building a windows application

I'll try to spell out my problem as succinctly as possible...
My database has a User table, an Organisation table, a Department table
and a JobType table (amongst others)
The Organisation table has a one to many relationship with the other
three. The User table contains foreign keys to the Department and
JobType tables (and the Organisation table).

Hello,
I have a multithreaded windows NT service application (vb.net 2003) that I
am working on (my first one), which reads a message queue and creates
multiple threads to perform the processing for long running reports. When
the processing is complete it uses crystal reports to load a template file,
populate it, and then export it to a PDF.
It works fine so far....

Hello Guys,
I have a bit of a problem, I created a Dll called SecureQueryStringDll.dll
and I had the dll put bin folder of my application first and it did not work
so I then put it in the bin folder of c:\inetpub\wwwroot and it still does
not work. Here is the error I get from it:

I have a function which gets the adress of an object as argument.
It does some comparsion with the object's contents and then returns.
no Reference or pointer to the object is stored or will be used after
the function has returned.
Say the function whould be named f and the objects class whould be T
it'll look like this:

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
