I`m inserting strings in a rich text control using the AppendText method, I
would like to change certain parts of the string so, for example, a certain
word appears bold and red when inserted. Is it possible using this control?
Thanks,
Juan. 2 4711

Yes, here's an example:
richTextBox.Sel ectionStart = richTextBox.Tex tLength;
richTextBox.Sel ectionColor = Color.Red;
richTextBox.Sel ectedText = "Red text." + Environment.New Line;
richTextBox.Sel ectionColor = Color.Blue;
richTextBox.Sel ectedText = "Blue text."
Thanks C# Learner, got it.
Juan.

Hi,
I have a richtextbox control that displays some xml data
either by loading from a file or by copy-paste in
plaintext format. So, it is displayed without any
formatting or indentation. Now, I want to display it in a
more readable fashion. So, I want to provide an option
like "Format Whole Document" (like the one in VS .NET).
Is there any way to do this?
Regards.

For readability sake I’m going to first state that:
LF = Line Feed CHR(10)
CR = Carriage Return CHR(13)
Since Rich Text Format is a standard formalized by Microsoft Corporation I
get to ask them why they decided that RTF format needed to start writing LF
instead of the CRLF that you see in implemented in non formatted text such as
seen via notepad. Nor can I find any history on why the decision was made.
Was it forgotten and just left...

Hi all,
I am looking for a smart way to assure a file is indeed a text file
within a C# method and not binary.
For example: Will "thisMysteryFile.dat" be legible if opened in a
RichTextBox ... or is it a binary file?
I have searched various methods in the string class and am having no
luck.

Hi all,
It may sound esoteric, but actually it is. Let's say there is a string
resource in a project, the value is "AA BB". How can I only format the "BB"
part into bold type. Can I finish the format when I input the string into the
resouce instead of using coding?

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
