Hi,
I have no experience with .NET or web programming and for the last couple of
years I was doing only client-server projects with PowerBuilder. Right now I
have to write a web application (something like MSDN) consisting of a tree
on the left side and some template pages on the right side where the
information is fed from the database. My company is inclined to use SQL
Server, .NET and Windows Server 2003 (which I think includes IIS)....

Hello,
Is there a new native technoloy that would allow to do the same as DDE
within Excel, but more efficient and more robust and future proof ?
I mean the same as a real-time-values-update (push) through a new kind
of DDE link to a kind of DDE Server.
Today there is not DDE support in .NET, isn't it ?

I ran into this error using ClickOne to deploy a .NET 2.0 app.
CrystalReports for .NET 2.0 is included in the delployment.
The error indicates that an incorrect version of CrystalReports.Engine DLL
is added to the client GAC.
My question is how to obtain a correct redistributable package of R10 so
that I can automate the delpoyment.
Thanks
Bill

Hello.
I'm new to all of this. I developed a web consuming windows
application/form program with VS.NET 2003, VB, .Net Framework 1.1.4322,
ASP.NET 1.1.4322, IIS 5.1.
I started converting it to an ASP.NET Web Application because i thought it
would be neater to have the explorer interface.
However, it has become quite a learning experience trying to understand how

I'm about to begin a brand new, big, ASP.NET project (using 3.5 .net fw), VS
2008. I'm using MySQL as the backend (customer request.) I have absolutely
no experience with LINQ and/or the Entity Framework. Though I am quite
comfortable with ADO.NET and VB.NET.
In your opinion, should I take a few days and learn it and utilize these
technologies in this new project (I'm starting from scratch)? Are the
benefits worth it in your opinion?...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
