how to handle scrollbar functioning during runtime

i have implemented the notepad functionality with two
richtext boxes. one to enter text and another to print
line numbers accordingly.
The functionality is achieved but the problem is
scrollbars are appearing for the line numbers textbox.
If i put the scrollbar property to none the line numbers
when exceeded the page size are not moving up along with
the text.
How can i achieve that without the scrollbars appearing
i.e how can i achieve the auto scrolling functionality.
The second textbox has the read only property set to true.

Hello experts, this is a repost but I have been (much) more clear. I want to know the position of the horizontal scrollbar in a textbox as a percentage - if the horizontal scrollbar is hard left, I want to display 0% on the form. - if the horizontal scrollbar is smack in the middle, I want to display 50% on the form. - if the horizontal scrollbar is 2/3rd along the X-axis,

I apologize for posting yet another scrollbar question. Here is my code. All I want is for a diagonal line to appear from coordinates (0,0) to (width, height) in a usercontrol regardless of whether the user autoscrolls the usercontrol (other things that are on the usercontrol I want to scroll, but haven't included any here). Here are the steps to reproduce my problem. 1. Launch Visual Studio and create a new Windows application with...

I've got two treeviews side by side on a panel on a form. They each have about 20 nodes in them. The treeview on the right has a vertical scrollbar. The treeview on the left needs a vertical scrollbar but does not have one. I have tried TreeView.Scrollable = True and calling ExpandAll() before the tree view is displayed with no success. I have checked the value of .Scrollable at runtime and it is true. If I select a node in the...

IF I am making a custom user control which draws stuff that might exceed its boundaries, can I get the user control to handle the scrolling for me? The AutoScroll property doesn't seem to be doing it. Do I have to set some special Size so it knows it's supposed to scroll? Currently by default behavior it is just clipping my content and not putting any scrollbar. and if I can somehow get the user control to add the scrollbar how can I...

Hi, I have a lot of edit child windows and text painted on a windows application made from the API all at runtime. How do I go about making the scrollbar to move them all? What I attempted: in the WM_PAINT message I have it paint a big red (later I will make white) rectangle filling the full window then it paints the text into its new position. The new position is takin from its initial position - the position of the scrollbar. For...

hi, I am new to this forum but i have received a lot of help reading through this forum. I am creating a VB.NET application for Patient Record Management. In this there are various combo boxes and buttons being generated during run time when a particular patient ID is searched for. Say one patient might have 2 entries some may have 10 entries. So the controls are generated dynamically and then the control names are added to the forms...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
