I wrote a webservice to output a report file. The fields of the report
are formatted based on information in an in-memory XmlDocument. As
each row of a SqlDataReader are looped through, a lookup is done, and
format information retrieved.
The performance was extremely poor -- producing about 1000 rows per minute.
However, when I used tracing/logging, my results were inconclusive.
First of all, based on the size of the data and the...

I developed a web method that returns type XmlDocument.
But a client calling the web method will only accept the return value as
datatype XmlNode.
Why?

Hi All,
I have this weird problem. I have an xml document and tried to do an XPath
query to it. If I use the SelectSingleNode method it throws an exception but
it works with SelectNodes method. Is this a known problem with XPath and
SelectSingleNode?
Code snippet:

Hi;
I am calling SelectSingleNode("/xml/s:Schema/s:ElementType/@name") where
"/xml/s:Schema/s:ElementType/@name is a legit xpath statement (xml is the
name of the rootnode) and that xpath statement works fine on the document in
XmlSpy.
However, when I call this is .NET 1.1, I get the following exception:
XPathException {"Namespace Manager or XsltContext needed. This query has a

Hi;
How do I handle the following:
XPathNavigator nav = ...;
String str = nav.SelectSingleNode("floats/@ok").Value;
// works fine - returns 1.3
nav.SelectSingleNode("floats/@ok == 1.3");
// throws an exception

Hi;
I have an element:
<space> </space>
When I call SelectSingleNode() on it, the InnerXml is a 0 length String, not
a String containing 1 space.
Any ideas?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
