draw inverted rectangle

Hello,
There exists a very good methode in C++ and MFC:
pDC->invertRectangl e(pRec);
Is there any simular methode in C# and .Net ?
How can I use the API function <invertRectangl e> in C# ?
Regards mike. :?:

This should work for you

Add this:

[DllImport("user 32.dll")]
[return:MarshalA s(UnmanagedType .Bool)]
public static bool InvertRect(IntP tr hDC, ref System.Drawing. Rectangle
lprc);

and call it like this

Graphics g = /* a valid graphics object */
Rectangle rect = /* the area you want inverted */

bool result = InvertRect( g.GetHdc(), ref rect);

HTH

P.S. Before anyone starts flaming me, System.Drawing. Rectangle CAN be used
in P/Invoke calls try it for yourself. Ther is no need to recreate the RECT
structure.

Doing this in a the OnPaint of a subclassed DataGridTextBoxColum dos not seem like a practical way to do it. I have subclassed a DataGrid and overridden the OnPaint as such:

When the user clicks on zoom in/zoom out button, he should be able to draw a rectangle on any part of the map. The map will refresh automatically with the zoom selections. Can any one help me on how to draw the rectangle (without any predefined co-ords) and capture the starting and ending points of the...

Greetings! I am creating a form that will contain information that will eventually be on a label. The label has a 2-column table with lines separating the cells. I want my form to resemble the label, so I want to draw a rectangle and lines on my form. I don't want them to have any user interaction whatever. They would be there just to look pretty. There's plenty of support for drawing rectangles from code. There seems to be support...

(the current attempts all draw the border just outside of the original rectangle). At the moment im using the following code, but it allows the rectangle to grow - which i definately dont want!

I haev been able to draw the rectangle on a blank form but I cannot get it to draw on top of other controls. I have pasted in the code i am using ....

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
