Interop.Microso ft.Office.Core

I have a library (named DSG) created in C# which other programs use to build
Excel spreadsheeets. This library uses the office PIAs
"Microsoft.Offi ce.Interop.Exce l.dll" and also references the Microsoft
Office v10 library using ActiveX. Recently I loaded Microsoft's Project
2003 (v11) to my programming computer for tracking purposes, which loaded
the Microsoft Office v11 library.

Now, when I run my programs (in VS C#) I get two errors:
1) Warning: The dependency 'Interop.Micros oft.Office.Core , Version=2.2.0.0 ,
Culture=neutral ' in project 'DSG' cannot be copied to the run directory
because it would overwrite the reference 'Interop.Micros oft.Office.Core ,
Version=2.3.0.0 , Culture=neutral '.
2) The dependency 'Interop.Micros oft.Office.Core ' could not be found. (this
occurs in the main program which references the library DSG).

I believe this is due to the version discrepancies, but I cannot seem to
rectify this. If I drop the Microsoft Office v10 library and reference the
v11 library instead, the results are the same. Even if I drop the reference
to the Microsoft Office altogether, the results are the same. It must be
something simple that I am overlooking.

Any ideas??

I am working on an application that uses interop to do some simple operations with both Excel and Word. I have most of functionality working, but ran into issues on making things work with both versions of office. My questions are: 1. What is the 'best' practice for building an application that will work with both versions of office? Do I need to have a separate build with different references for each? 2. Can I install interop...

Overnight, I've developed this error somehow, when I try to build/run my application: "Parser Error Message: Unable to load file 'Interop.Microsoft.Office.Core'." I'm pretty sure I haven't messed with any of these references lately. I tried removing/re-adding the reference "Microsoft Office 10.0 Object Library," as well as "Microsoft Word 10.0 Object Library." They list as "Microsoft.Office.Core," and "Word" in References list.

Hi all, I've created a vb.net app that opens and manipulates an excel file. The app works great on my system where I have all of the interop assemblies installed for visual studio. When I go to run the application on another PC I get this error: File or assembly name Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel, or one of its dependencies, was not found.

I have created a program that allows for the automation of things in Word documents, like changing the values of DocVariables and the links to Excel Sheets. I did it using interoperoperatability, where, after adding a reference to Microsoft.Office.Core and a reference to Microsoft Word I declare objects as follows: Dim oWordApp As New Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Application, . Everything works fine on the development computer...

My code works as a VB.NET executable file. So I'm trying to "adapt" it to a ..NET XML Web Service. As a VB.NET file, I used Microsoft.Office.Core as the reference, and everything was fine, but when I try to do the same thing as an XML Web Service, VS.NET says my syntax is not defined. Can anyone tell me why the syntax is not defined? <WebMethod()> _ Public Function HelloWorld() As String Try

Ok, I've tried everything I could come up with but nothing is working. I am creating an application which needs to post information into an excel document. I have not yet had a chance to play with any of the methods because I cannot pull in the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel class. I am using Visual c# 2005 Express as my IDE, and here what I have done so far. I open a new project and select Project->Add Reference Then I go to the...

VS 2005 and MS Office 2003 installed. I can include Microsoft.Office.Core and Word in the references so I can add the using Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word. However, my workmate cannot do the same thing although he also got VS2005 and MS Office 2003 installed. He can only add Microsoft.Office.Core in the using clause but no Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.

I downloaded the Primary Interop Assemblies for Office 2k7 today and still cannot get a working outlook.interop.dll to import. Are there any dll gurus out there who can help me get this up and running with Outlook 2007? I am using VS 2005.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
