C/C++
In dev6 we had a profiler tool, I now have dot net 2003 Pro, cost me over
£800. But I can't find the profiler anywhere, just wasted the last our
searching the docs. Can't see the wood for the trees.
There was stuff about a 'Visual Studio Analyzer ' What is it? I would hope
that dot net still has a profiler.

Hi,
I'm desperately looking for a good Code Profiler for VB.NET 2005, and I
noticed there is one in Visual Studio .NET 2005 Beta 2.
Everything works fine, it's simple to setup a profiler for a solution, and
it gives a lot of data back.
BUT: Like I said: it only gives data, and not really any information: With
all the data it gave me, I wouldn't know what I could do to make my
application perform better, or see the bottlenecks. What I...

Platform - Windows 2000 Professional , VC .NET 7.1
Hello,
I have recently ported my source code from Visual Studio 6.0 to .NET 7.1
Previously with Visual Studio 6.0 I was using the profiler in the following
way
1) Build the project with link setting- Enable Profiling as checked.
2) I had created a custom batch file for profiling my application and was

I'm currently using VS C++.NET 2005 Express until my company's MSDN
subscription gives us the full version. In any case, does either the Express
and/or Full version contain a profiler somewhere? Or should I look at 3rd
party or additional MS products for a profiler?

Does anybody know VS.NET 2005 contains any profiler ?
I need to use it before deciding to buy third party.

Does anyone have an example of an application that can connect to a running
process and capture Trace.WriteLine calls like in SQL Server Profiler? I
know that we can inherit from a TraceListener class to write to files,
databases, etc..., but I would really like to attach to running .NET
processes and get the results without any logging and instead capture the
real-time results when troubleshooting.

line was called... I mean something like this...
int main() {
1 int x,a=0;
5 for(x=0;x<5;++x) {

Hi, I'm trying to use profiler with Web Developer 2005 express. I set it up
in my & it won't work. I get an erro saying the object is not set.
I did a quick search which said I need to run Visual studio command prompt &
run some utility but I don't think express has a command prompt.
Is there a way I can set profiler up so that it doesn't rely on setting up
whatever it is in this command prompt issue? Can I perhaps create an XML file...

I am a long time user of Visual C++ 6.0. For a variety of reasons I am now
running Vista and Visual C++ won't run there. I purchased Visual Studio 2008
Professional, which included a C++ compiler. Alas, I just learned that the
profile that shipped with 6.0 is not part of 2008 Professional. I would need
to buy the Visual Studio Team System. Having been forced to buy an unwanted
new operating system and then an unwanted new development...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
