Out of curiosity, I wanted to test executable file sizes of the same
program from different compilers...
The 2 compilers I tested (both old, on purpose) were Borland C++ 3.1
and DJGPP 2.03...
The program was nothing but a simple hello world program using the
iostream header file...
I compiled and linked (both copies) with those 2 different

Hello,
Can I run the subject line program using CC instead of cc? I attempted
to use the "-c" option and it told me things were undefined. Isn't this
CC option the same as the cc -c option?

I need to automatically search and replace all fixed size
buffer strcpy's with strncpy's (or better yet, strlcpy's)
as a security and stability audit. The code base is large
and it is not feasable to manually perform these changes.
I would like perhaps a C++ parser that can automatically

I work on a reasonably large project (if yours is bigger, please tell
me just how big) and am wondering how other people are partitioning
their assemblies/dealing with slow build times?
Our masterfiles assembly (which contains essentially just reference
file business objects) is currently 6Mb in size, and changing one line
of code causes a complete recompile.
I noticed older versions of csc.exe supported the /incremental build
option.

I am using Visual C++ 6 IDE,with 512MB RAM. I have coded a recursive
function that has a correct end condition for recursion. There is no
infinite recursion.
For some input data,the recursive function gets called so many times
that it causes a 'First-chance exception in a.exe: 0xC00000FD: Stack
Overflow.'
