compiler or linker option to increase stack size?

is there a compiler or linker option to increase the
stack size in C#?

need to step through code in Debug mode so editing the
compiled binary with EDITBIN isn't viable.

Out of curiosity, I wanted to test executable file sizes of the same program from different compilers... The 2 compilers I tested (both old, on purpose) were Borland C++ 3.1 and DJGPP 2.03... The program was nothing but a simple hello world program using the iostream header file... I compiled and linked (both copies) with those 2 different

Hello, Can I run the subject line program using CC instead of cc? I attempted to use the "-c" option and it told me things were undefined. Isn't this CC option the same as the cc -c option? Thank you, Christopher Lusardi

I need to automatically search and replace all fixed size buffer strcpy's with strncpy's (or better yet, strlcpy's) as a security and stability audit. The code base is large and it is not feasable to manually perform these changes. I would like perhaps a C++ parser that can automatically detect use of a strcpy to a buffer of fixed size. For instance, struct x { char member;

I have to develop several large and complex C++ hardware test programs that should work under DOS, most likely with 32-bit DOS extender. Development workstation OS would be Microsoft XP. Quite some time ago I worked in DOS, with Borland BC++ 4.1. I do not have it any more. Which compiler would you recommend me now? Which ones support serious DOS program development? Criterion should be number of available free library modules (graphic menu...

I work on a reasonably large project (if yours is bigger, please tell me just how big) and am wondering how other people are partitioning their assemblies/dealing with slow build times? Our masterfiles assembly (which contains essentially just reference file business objects) is currently 6Mb in size, and changing one line of code causes a complete recompile. I noticed older versions of csc.exe supported the /incremental build option.

I am using Visual C++ 6 IDE,with 512MB RAM. I have coded a recursive function that has a correct end condition for recursion. There is no infinite recursion. For some input data,the recursive function gets called so many times that it causes a 'First-chance exception in a.exe: 0xC00000FD: Stack Overflow.' How do i increase the size of the program stack?

Here is an example with 3 files, containing a template structure and also a template function. The header A.h declares a template structure A with a default (i.e. for any template parameter), inlined constructor implementation, and also declares a template function f. The file main.cpp contains some test code and also the default implementation for f(). The file spec.cpp contains some explicitly specialized stuff: ==== A.h ====

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
