Rowversion - putting it into a hidden form, then converting it back to rowversio on postback

I am trying to pull the rowversion down from SQL and place it into my form
as a hidden string variable. Then on postback I need to convert the string
back to the byte array and see if it is the same as the current row version.

Any code for accomplishing this? Or is there a better way. Should I convert
the byte array to a big int, then write that into the hidden field?

I could not goggle a good answer - is this doable?

Thanx,
Doug

Is there any way to delete the value of a html hidden input field from code-behind? I use an html hidden input to store an array of data. I collect this data using Request.Form or Request.Params. After I use it, I want to force the deletion of it, so a user cannot hit their refresh button on their browser and trigger the same events that just occurred. I have tried using Request.Params.Remove("HiddenField"),...

Hi. I have a gridview control on a web form (asp.net 2.0) that's bound to a objectDataSource. The objectdatasource which is bound to a class I've written in the DAL to read and update the database. The grid contains three columns - an ID (GUID), a name (string) and a rowversion (timestamp), and the data is passed to/from the page in an instance of a data entity object. When I open the page the grid loads properly, but if I attempt to edit...

Each Category has a single PriceTag TextBox that is populated with a Price when a RadioButton is selected. This is done through a Javascript method.

On a tab I have one DropDownList which requires a postback and two ListBoxes which do not require any postback because I just have some javascript, defined in the aspx file, to copy items from one listbox to the other. All 3 of these controls exist in a table which is inside an UpdatePanel. When the drop down list value changes and the postback occurs the data that I had in my listbox control disappears. How do I fix this? (using:...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
