Switch to different language in Windows XP

Hi

I am a newbie c# programmer, I would like to know how
to make a function that switches between languages in
windows XP/2000. The languages can be set manually in the
language bar. Thanks for any help!

Regards

E.

If I understand what you mean, you want to use

System.Threadin g.Thread.Curren tThread.Current Culture = new
System.Globaliz ation.CultureIn fo(languageCode );

or use

System.Threadin g.Thread.Curren tThread.Current Culture =
System.Globaliz ation.CultureIn fo.CreateSpecif icCulture(langu ageCode);

for specific culture or not just language (like UK and USA both use
English, but different notation, currency format, etc)

This won't do much unless you also create satellite assemblies which you
can load by using CurrentUICultur e.

The CultureInfo class, contains how to write numbers, date time, ++.

I couldn't find a list of all language codes on the web, but I printed out
what .Net Framework knows by using
CultureInfo.Get Cultures(Cultur eType.SpecificC ulture)

List is made out of CultureInfo.Nam e and CultureInfo.Eng lishName

C++ programmers and I tried to experience by writing 65536 switch cases. It is too large for Windows XP and other operating system to handle. It looks like that JMP Table obtains 256K bytes for 65536 switch cases. The program would crash when it attempts to run. C++ Compiler does not support above 64K switch cases. I tried to set a limit to 2048 switch cases and 4096 switch cases, but the problem exists when program crashed again. Do...

Hi, is the assemly code for if..else and switch statements similar. I would like to know if switch also uses value comparison for each case internally or does it jump to the case directly at the assembly level ? for a performance critical application is it better to to use switch case or accomplish the same using fn pointers ?

So what I did is 1. make my controls to use new resource expression, 2.create a session variable to record the current language 3. and put a logic in page_load { ....Thread...Current...UICulture..= new CultureInfo(..Session("LangCode")...); } .But when...

Hi, I have a client/server application, using one thread/client approach. I see very high context switch/sec. What are the ways to reduce it? Each thread sleep longer in its endless loop if not reducing thread? On the same machine, I also run a mysql server. I can see same amount thread in mysqld, seems mysql is also using one thread/client. But its context/swith is much lower. How can I get same performance?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
