Hi I have started a small project with PyOpenGL. I am wondering what
are the options for a GUI. So far I checked PyUI but it has some
problems with 3d rendering outside the Windows platform.
I know of WxPython but I don't know if I can create a WxPython window,
use gl rendering code in it and then put widgets on top of that...

C# code automatically generates or references.
Single or Multi apartment threads. What exacty does this do and what will
happen if I remove it?
Is MTAThread necessary if I want to use multiple threads in my app?
Also, why doesn't VB use STA or MTA thread?
Thanks,
Brett

I am creating a worker thread from inside an aspx page and the thread does
the stuff it should do, no problem.
However, I have noticed running it in the debugger that it seems as if the
threads are not killed/garbage-collected after a thread terminates. I have a
breakpoint in the thread itself and every time it breaks, in the Threads
window I observe the new thread, but the previous thread is still there as
well. The exact same code in a...

How does one attach a thread so it can update the UI of a form?
The other thing is I thought .IsBackground makes the thread active so it
doesn't stop looping until the main thread dies. This doesn't seem to be the
case however with it just dying after one run.
I recall there being a Win32 API by the name AttachThreadInput, is this the
answer?
I'm using the code below to launch the thread.

in March, i posted a essay “What is Expressiveness in a Computer
Language”, archived at:

I was informed then that there is a academic paper written on this
subject.
On the Expressive Power of Programming Languages, by Matthias

I have a log-in window application. When the user presses the cancel button
it kills another window by it's name and then it exits. The problem is that
if somebody kills the log-in window by terminating the process in the task
manager the other window is not killed.
One solution might be to have a surveillande thread which doesn't die when
the mother-thread dies, and can't be killed in the task manager. As soon as
the log-in window...

When I do this, I put a special value in the queue (like None) and in
the worker thread, check for the special value and exit if found.
Threads can also be marked as "daemon threads" (see docs for
threading.Thread objects). This will make the application terminate if
only "daemon threads" are left.
So best would probably be soemthing like

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
