Hello All,
I'm trying to get a "Virtual Listbox" to work. I've currently got a form,
and used CreateWindowExA to create a ListBox with the LBS_OWNERDRAWFIXED and
LBS_NODATA flags on it. I've allso subclassed the window and do see all
kinds of WS_??? messages coming by.
But now I'm stuck :-\
I've got *no* idea what to do next, and all my searching on the web leads me

I have a ListBox on my form and wand to do auto scrolling, I can do that by:
myListBox.ClearSelected();
OutputListBox.SelectedIndex = myListBox.Items.Count - 1;
But it causes to unselect all selected items, so I wish do that by moving
the vertical scroll bar, imbedded in the ListBox.
But I couldn’t find a way to get the ListBox vertical scroll bar.
Can anybody show how to obtain it and how to make move/scroll??

Hi!
If you move the mouse over an item that's part of a treeview and wider
than the treeview, a tooltip showing the full item text will be
displayed. I try to do this for ListBoxes and ComboBoxes.
For ListBoxes I got it working, but not for the ListBox part of
ComboBoxes. Do you know any sample code?
Thanks in advance!
Timo

I am creating a "from-to" set of listboxes where the "left" listbox had a
list of values and I want to be able to select these values, 1 at a time,
and move them into a "right" listbox, removing the selected value from the
left listbox. When you select any member from the left listbox and click on
the button to move it to the right listbox, everything works fine. If you
select the LAST member in the left listbox, and click on the button...

My code works perfectly 100% when adding items to my ArrayList and updating the listbox.
Works perfectly when deleting an item in the ArrayList when it is not the last entry but if it is
the last entry and you select another index it goes boom!!!.
Funny thing is the SelectedIndex Changed routine fires off perfectly and then crash after the return
from this code.
Now looking around the news groups it appears to be a bug in the .net...

This is driving me NUTS. I have a listbox bound to a datasource and it
all works fine until I start deleting items from the class collection.
The frustrating thing is that there is no pattern to the error and I
can't recreate the problem with any certainty. I refresh the listbox
after deleting a class item with the following code:
With lstBanks
.DataSource = Nothing
.DisplayMember = "Title"
.ValueMember = "BankID"

Handle Classes
Handle classes, also called Envelope or Cheshire Cat classes, are part of the Bridge design pattern. The objective of the Bridge pattern is to separate the abstraction from the implementation so the two can vary independently.
Handle classes usually contain a pointer to the object implementation. The Handle object is used rather than the implemented object. This leaves the implemented object free to change without affecting...

I tried to fill a ListBox with a DataSource pointing to an ArrayList.
It all works fine...up to one point.
The ArrayList is dynamic, which means the contents of it change, during the course of program use.
But instead of Updating the ListBox, virtually nothing happens. The items that were written into the ListBox during the first run remain inside the ListBox, assuming the new values of the ArrayList. Obviously, if the new ArrayList is...

Hello everyone. This maybe is easy, but I'm stuck.
I'm using visual basic.net. And this is with the enumwindows
function. But that isn't relevant.
If I have a sub that just simply will add an item to a listbox, but
takes the handle to the listbox as a parameter, how can I 'convert'
that handle back to a listbox?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
