Handling Master Page Click Events in the Child Pages

I have master page. i have added two asp controls to master page DROPDOWN and BUTTON.

I have one content page. FindEmployee.aspx which shows result list of employees based on the selection made in DROPDOWN when BUTTON is clicked.

I dont know how to read Master Page button click evenet in Content page.

Kindly can some explain how to read master page button click event in Content Page ?
