DetailsView Question

VB Programmer

Easy question for you...

I have a GridView which displays client names (clients associated with a
certain "UserId" label.)

I have a DetailView control which I want to use to INSERT data into the
GridView. How do I make it so that the "UserId" field is automatically
filled in with whatever is in the "UserId" label? (I don't want the user to
fill this in.)

After some tests, research and experiments I did it like this...

<InsertParameters>
<asp:ControlParameter ControlID="lblRealtorId"
Name="RealtorId" PropertyName="text" />
<asp:Parameter Name="BuyerLastName" Type="String" />
<asp:Parameter Name="BuyerFirstName" Type="String" />
</InsertParameters>
