Problem with asp.net management application, creating users.

Hi there,

Fairly new to ASP.NET, but I'm messing with the built-in user & role
management functionality. I've created the database using the
aspnet_regsql.exe tool, and used the ASP.NET web site administration tool to
try and create users, but I get an error back every time.

I can create a role fine (and I looked in the db to make sure it was there),
so I'm hitting the database properly, but "Create User" and even running the
"Security Wizard" just give me a generic error page that says "An error was
encountered. Please return to the previous page and try again."

Anyone have any ideas? I'm doing development with VS.NET 2005, and SQL
Express.
