Web applications in VB

I'm trying to build a web application in VB.NET, and I have some basic (no
pun intended) questions. Is this the right place to ask? Surprisingly, I
can't find a newsgroup just called vb.net.webapplications.

This is a ASP.Net group. If the questions are related to ASP.Net, you
are in the right place.

It certainly is. This group is for questions relating to developing ASP.NET
applications using any .NET language.

There are several groups beginning microsoft.dotnet.languages.vb... which
are specifically for VB.NET discussions, but this one is specifically for
ASP.NET.

This newsgroup is exactly where you need to be - it's asp.net in general -
ask away!

ASP.Net is a technology on top of the .Net Framework. You can write
webapps in any supported .net language (C#, VB.Net, ...).
Question specific to VB.Net should go to to the newsgroup for that
language, questions specific to asp.net should go here.
But, usually people don't mind too much if you post in the "wrong"
group because you can't decide if your problem relates to the
*language* or the *technology*.
