Master page problem

I have a master page which is used by all my pages as the body of the page.
The fact that I had a lot of different aspx files, had as a result to create
various directories in order to group the files in order to make categories
of files. When I have a file for example in a subdirectory called test work
perffect, but the part of web page which gets the code from the master page,
tryes to find the image in the test directory. Is there a way to solve this
problem?
