Loging in using SSL, BUT..

OK, following scenario:

I have on an unsecured site the boxes where the user can enter User ID and
passwort, now, after he clicks on login, the data should be send over HTTPS.
Remember: The page itself is on port 80, only when the user clicks on
"Login", the entered data should go through https.

I have this seen many times on the internet, but how to make that with
ASP.NET ? Since it's a postback, and goes back to the same site (on the same
port), it seems problematic

I am using .net 1.1

An example of what I mean:

http://www.us.playstation.com/psp.aspx

If you go to this site, you will see two boxes, where you can enter the User
ID and password (the user id is the e-mail adress here), after the user
clicks on "go", the data is sent over SSL, while the homepage itself, where
the boxes are hosted, is on port 80.
