Are you think of compiling a web *user* control,
instead of compiling a web *custom* control ?
You compile web *custom* controls.
Web *user* controls are written in code.
See the differences between them at :
Web Custom controls :

Web User Controls :

Hi all,
Is it possible to create a dll project of ascx controls? I have tried creating a dll
project and then adding ascx files. But I cant view them in design mode. Neither can I
attach the its equivalent cs file to it. For example if i create a new Book.ascx
control, I am not able to attach its Book.ascx.cs to Book.ascx. What did I do wrong?
Thanks and regards
