how to stop visual studio changing my code?

fh
Hello,

I use some web user control in my page

I changed some button defintion from protected to public

so that I can register their click on the main page...

but sort of randomly I receive the compilation message saying that
I can't access the button because....
it has automatically changed back to protected....

even so I did nothing....
Is there any option in V.S.?

Probably you might have switched between design mode and code view. During
this process you might have accessed the control which will trigger the
change. There is no setting in Visual studio for what you are asking for.
