copy changes back to datatable

hey all,

i have 2 tables
1st table - has all the records in it.
2nd table - contains updated rows from the 1st table

is there a way to merge the 2nd table changes back into the 1st table?

A Database trigger would be easier than front end code. Is it SQLServer ?
