new aspx page property

Hello,

I want to create a new property on page level. This new property
should be accessible thourgh the 'property window' in vs.net

I know I can create properties for other controls like:

private string _newProperty;

[Category("Appearance"), Description("my own description")]
public string NewProperty
{
set
{
//... some code ...
_newProperty= value;
}
get
{
//... some code ...
return _newProperty;
}
}
As far as I know, this above code works fine but not for page
properties.

Can anybody help?
Thanks Markus
