Can you install CDO seperatly?

I am using asp and would like to send email using cdo.
The script I have is not working on my server. I'm
thinking cdo is either not properly installed or not
installed at all.

Or not configured. CDO installs with IIS, but has to be configured. In
general, you install the SMTP service (Add/Remove Programs >> Add/Remove
Windows Components >> IIS >> check SMTP). If not, it has to be configured
against a different email sender.
