the browser only sends back the selected value to the server. if

in oninit you need to add code on the server side that adds the new
value to the DropDownList. you could look in the form collection for the
value.

Huh? Did you mean Listbox not DropDownList? The drop-down is working
fine, it's the Listbox data that gets cleared after the drop-down list
causes the postback.

Hello All, I am new to ajax and wanted to start by trying something simple. I have a web form with an updatepanel and then inside the update panel I have a listbox. Then outside of the updatepanel I have a button. In my buttons click event in the cs / code behind, I have a loop that just inserts items in the listbox. My question is, once I click the button and the loop begins, how do I get it to update the listbox? Does this make since?...

Hi, I have a TabContainer inside a data bound FormView (to logically group the form fields into different tabs). The display part of the data binding works fine, but the Update doesn't. Basically the FormView cannot find the TextBoxes inside the tab container's tab panels. Some of the forums say that it's because of the TabContainer's implementation (by design) of "INamingContainer", and a hack is to take control of the TabContainer's...

I am trying to get to grips with the asp.net ajaxcontrol toolkit, and am trying to add a tabbed control to the page. I have no problems within the aspx file, and can dynamically manipulate a tabcontainer which has 1 panel already, however I want to try create the TabPanels dynamically. I followed the advice here: http://www.asp.net/learn/ajax-videos/video-156.aspx (3rd comment - Joe Stagner)

Hi there. I have created an asp.net page with C# and have added two tabs using the respective AJAX control. I am trying to add a table within an AJAX Accordion control in the second tab but I am running into problems where the two accordian entries are not functioning correctly. If I don't use a table and just place some sample text within the accordian body then this works okay but once I add the table, the second accordion value appears on...

Hello, Can someone help me in this problem. In my content page, I used 2 user controls inside an Ajax Toolkit TabControl. One of the user controls is a data entry with a dropdownlist. The dropdownlist does not retain its selected value when I make a postback (click an update or save button). But when I run it without Tabcontrol, it's ok. Is there anything I should add to the code? Here's the aspx script: <asp:Content ID="Content2"...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
