I am programatically trying to add a checkBox column to a gridView.
This is what I have to do it (VB):
Dim cbCol As New CheckBoxField
cbCol.Text = "Enter this event"
gvEvents.Columns.Add(cbCol)
When it displays the column, there are no checkboxes.
Maybe I am going about this the wrong way. What I am trying to do is to

Hello,
I have a GridView in my page which is created in runtime. It works fine.
My page has 2 Asp Buttons:
- The HIDE button makes GridView.Visible = False;
- The SHOW button makes GridView.Visible = True.
I press HIDE and the GridView disappears as expected.
After it I press SHOW and the GridView doesn't show.

I am using a GridView inside a UserControl which has a template column for
deleting the rows. Before databinding the gridview i am attaching the

I am using Visual Web Developer (vb.net) and have a gridview in a form. I can
update records using standard EDIT/UPDATE buttons. However, there are two
fields in every record (called ModifiedBy and ModifiedDate) that I use to
track who last changed data in a row and when. How do I programatically
(vb.net) enter this information in the two fields. Right now they are
template fields (EditItemTemplate) and I am using textboxes (TextBox1 and...

Hi group,
I'm looking for some help on how to achieve the following in a
gridview control that is based on an ObjectDataSource.
The SelectMethod of the datasource returns a list of Customer objects.
Each Customer object has a property "Notes".
When I display the list of customers in the gridview, I would like to
provide a column that displays an Image associated with the Notes
property. If the Notes property contains data I want to...

I've googled and tried various approaches, but could not resolve this
problem. The article at MSDN: Displaying Images in a GridView Column
only presents a simple case where all data (including the images) of
the gridview come from a single table/datasource.
Here is my situation. In my web application, I need to display
customer bills info in a gridview.
Customer names and contact info are from the Customer table.

I have a user control that has a gridview in it. I am dynamically
setting up its datasource and columns based on an XML file.
I have everything done except adding columns to the gridview, so that
the user only sees certain columns based on the XML file.
In my ASCX page I simply defined the gridview
<asp:GridView ID="gvSearchResults" HorizontalAlign="Center"
AllowSorting="true" runat="server"

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
