Hi,
Need some directions on Ajax, UpdatePanel and Gridview to achive the
following:
I like to show a Gridview with Data ONLY if the user is interested in
Details, but without a full page reload!
If the page loads, only a summary (eg. COUNT of recs) should be
displayed

hi everyone!
i'm serving up an asp.net page using ajax futures.
long story short:
i have two update panels.
one has a webpage in it (e.g. www.google.com).
the other has an image inside of a div.
however, when i update the div in code behind ( via
UpdatePanel_div.Update() ), the entire page refreshes.
if i change the div to an iframe, then the entire page does not

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to build a website where on click of a button, I am fetching some data from a web service (in code-behind) and displaying it using a repeater control.
The repeater control is wrapped inside an UpdatePanel thus making it a partial page refresh as compared to full page refresh.
Since I am using UpdatePanel control, the HTML is rendered at the server side and sent to the client's browser. It takes somewhere close...

I can't get an UpdatePanel on my page to work. One control - an
ImageButton in a GridView - works the first time you click on it, but
then freezes all of the controls on the form. The paging controls of
the GridView refresh the entire page, as if the UpdatePanel wasn't
there. There is an outside control - a dropdownlist - which is set to
trigger the updatepanel, and also refreshes the entire page. Below

I have an UpdatePanel on the form.
Now I want to use a link outside of my UpdatePanel to make it to update
(asynchronously) and also send some(at least one ) parameters.
I'm trying using ICallbackEventHandler, but it doesn't update the UpdatePanel.
Any suggestions?

Never heard of this before....! Are you sure it's not reloading the page
when you view it normally?
A way to test this in IE and Firefox is to navigate to the page, clear the
address bar and then click whatever it is you need to click.
If the address bar gets filled back up with your URL, then a full page post...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
