Hi,
Can anyone tell me how the initial value displayed in Combo Box is
determined when a form is opened?
I am loading the dropdown from one field ("CategoryName") of a table, with
"ORDER BY ". The values in the dropdown are loaded in the
correct order, but the initial value is not the first row of the dropdown as
I expected.
The field "CategoryName" is not the primary key for the table -- the PK is

I have a form based on a table. The table has a
Yes/No field. Its an A97 table. The form has a button
that updates the value in the control from No to Yes
for the record currently being edited.
It seems the ONLY way I can make the control
reflect the Yes value is to save the record. Not that
its too much trouble to save it, but there are other
fields whose values are going to be modifed during
the instance of the current record and I...

I have a dropdownlist in a GridView ItemTemplate. I need to bind the ddl to
an SqlDataSource, then have a value from a boundfield in the row be passed as
the keyfield for select where clause. Im trying to load the ddl with a list
of dates from another table keyed on GridView row field that only apply to
this row.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
The aspx file contains a datasource and a gridview.
The (only) field is a boolean type (true/false).
Now, when the value of the field is 'true' something must happen (e.g.
Response.Write("this is true") ).
So i used the server-event 'GridView1_RowCreated' but how can i check the
value of the field on each row?
I tried this code below, but it doesn't work ...
Thanks

Hi,
I have a GridView and a SqlDataSource controls on a page. The SqlDataSource
object uses stored procedures to do the CRUD operations. The DataSource has
three columns one of which - "Modified" of type DateTime - is hidden since it
should not be edited by a user. The system handles the update for this
column. So, I have hidden (Visible=false) this column on the grid. In order
to access the value in this field, I have created a...

Hi,
I'd like to the row being edited to be also selected. That is, I don't
want one row to be selected while another row is being edited. If a user
clicks on the 'Edit' button I'd like the Select to be executed first,
followed by Edit. So, if there is a details view associated with the
GridView I'd like the details to show the content of the row being edited.
Could someone please let me know what the proper procedure should be?

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
