I am building a precache engine... one that request over 100 pages on an
remote server to cache them remotely...
can i use the HttpWebRequest and WebResponse classes for this? or must i use
the MSHTML objects to really load the HTML and request all of the images on
site?

Hi,
From a win-service I do a HttpWebRequest to a secure url with some
parameters to get some simple data from a remote system used later on in a
worker thread.
When making the request from my code it takes about 10-12 secs to complete,
but doing same request in my browser takes less than 1 sec.
Can anyone explain this delay from within my code ??

Hi,
I am calling an ASP.Net page from an ASP classic application but need
the .Net page to have access to ASP classic's session variables. I am
using HTTPWebRequest to call ASP classic page which could then return
the session values. But the values are always blank. If I do a
Response.Redirect() to call the ASP page, it returns the values okay.
But I cannot do a Response.Redirect() as I just need to access some
session variables and...

user's local hard drive, and copy it to a remote server via WebDAV. I've
tried using both HttpWebRequest and FileWebRequest, as outlined in some
