Hi,
I have a question regarding the DataGrid control. If paging is enabled the
grid binds the data, sets the paging on the top/bottom (or however it is set
up) and throws away unnecessary data. So far so good for a tiny amount of
data but if some 100000 of rows are the source this approach is stupid.

I am creating an app that lists clients of a company for management of
different attributes for that company. The first page is a listing of
the companies currently in the database. I have my repeater working,
and paging/sorting works, but there is a small bug that I can't seem
to figure out.
If, for example, I display 5 records per page, the paging function
executes fine, and only shows 5 records per page. This is no problem.
When I...

I read and tried to use the repeater paging method I found on 4 Guys from
Rolla (I've tried others also) but it doesn't seem to work. Please see the
code I have below and tell me what I may be doing wrong. I'm using Visual
Studio with SQL 2000. This is question/answer page that loads questions &
answers dynamically. I would like to present 1 question at a time instead of
all questions on one page as quizzes may have up to 50 questions. ...

Hi Folks
I'm trying to determine a way to handle paging, filtering and sorting in a
datagrid.
If I choose to filter and sort, I'd like to return a subset. If that
resultset has more records then the number of rows I'd like to display, I'd
like to be able to load pages into the grid.
My question is, do I need to continually hit the db to get the next page of
records, or is there another method of doing with the dataset. i.e. load the

Hello,
Does anybody know if you can use the PagedDataSource class in conjunction with a DataGrid in an ASP.NET 1.1 VB web page? I know that the DataGrid already has built in paging functionality, but it would be useful to be able to replace the javascript paging with search engine friendly query strings for the paging as described in this article:
http://www.sitepoint.com/article/asp-nets-pageddatasource/
I have tried setting the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
